how to transfer to another school
1. Apply as an international student.
2. Receive acceptance letter from college/university.
3. Give copy of acceptance letter to Designated School Official (DSO) at Mid-Pacific Institute.
4. Get SEVIS Transfer Form and SEVIS school code from college/university.
5. Request DSO at Mid-Pacific Institute to complete the SEVIS Transfer Form and send to DSO at college/university.
6. Ask DSO at college/university to contact DSO at Mid-Pacific Institute to confirm SEVIS Transfer.
7. DSO at Mid-Pacific Institute will transfer your SEVIS record to college/university.
8. Receive a new I-20 from college/university in the mail.
9. Enter the U.S. with your new I-20.
NOTE: Your F-1 visa must be valid for entry. Expired visas must be re-issued at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Payment of the SEVIS I-901 fee is NOT required for students transferring between institutions.
